A HUGE thank you to all who completed my survey – the biggest response I’ve ever had!
As a result of the survey answers I’ve changed doing the blog three times a week to twice a week (Sunday & Wednesday). Sunday will continue to be the “Sunday Sampler”, and Wednesday will now combine “Around the Web” with any other fun tutorials or info I can include.
Another idea I had yesterday – as a result of survey comments on webinar topics – for the October webinar, I am going to do a “live” demo of how I select textures for an image! I will pre-select some images to work on, but NOT pre-select the textures, so you’ll be able to see my actual workflow and thought process into choosing and applying textures! Stay tuned for more info!
There will be more ideas as a result of your amazing feedback. Thanks again if you participated! You can always feel free to email me with thoughts and ideas!

Matting a Photo in Photoshop
I’ve had several requests for this tutorial. I had one recorded years ago that I did in Photoshop Elements, but software has changed so much, I re-recorded in PS CC. The same technique can still be done in Elements (as well as most other software programs). Enjoy!

Alternative Creative Software
You know I love my Topaz Studio 2 and all of it’s creative effects. Unfortunately, Topaz is no longer actively selling or updating this product. So I began the search for other software that can give me some of the same creative effects. I’ll review and demo some of my finds.

Barns & Back Roads Workshops
A FEW SPOTS LEFT FOR FALL 2022!
We begin the first day with a complimentary welcome dinner to get to know each other and plan the next three days! I plan on having you photograph two full days and on the 3rd day photograph for a bit in the morning, then we’ll work on images. Bring your laptop if you have one, or you can watch me demo on mine. Car pooling is mandatory on this workshop (you’ll ride with me) as many areas have little parking. We’ve gotten to know many property owners and we’ll be able to access those properties up close.
Optional add-on: We have two guest rooms (one with a queen bed and one with 2 twin beds) so you can stay with us. There are two hotels within five miles of the house as well.
Come enjoy our beautiful corner of Tennessee!
