Hi fellow Photogs! The calendar says September, but someone forgot to tell Mother Nature! Whew, it’s a little warm out there! Can’t wait for the crisp mornings of Autumn and the beautiful foliage!
My friend Gary Farber and his crew at Hunt’s Photo + Video have lots of great seminars, workshops and events coming up.
Check out their “Hunt’s Happenings” for a Fall full of seminars at http://www.wbhunt.com/events/ . Then head over to their main website to find out about the upcoming Tamron Tailgate Tour at the South Portland, ME location on Fri., Sept. 25th from 12-4. There are all kinds of cool things going on! Tamron Tailgate Tour
Hunt’s is also co-sponsor along with the Friends of the Bosque for a fabulous Winter Workshop at the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge near Socorro, NM. I attended this workshop in Jan. 2015 (the first one held) and it was SO much fun. I learned a lot and got some great pics:
If you have never been at a location when THOUSANDS of birds take off at the same time, then you MUST experience it! When the snow geese take off it’s a wall of black and white! (Yes, this is a “color” photo!)
If you are interested, find more info and registration here: Photography Intensive at Bosque del Apache.
AND…if you can’t wait till January to visit Bosque, join me there in November for the Festival of the Cranes, the 17th-22nd. I will be teaching 9 workshops in 5 days – Elements Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, as well as Photomatix HDR, and Working with Textures. Registration just started today! Find details at: Festival of the Cranes.
AND…if you REALLY like birding and bird photography, I will also be teaching seminars and doing field workshops – including from an airboat – at the Spacecoast Birding & Wildlife Festival in Titusville, FL, Jan. 20-25, 2016. (Note: they are currently updating the website for 2016 info – keep checking for updates.)
Don’t forget my two upcoming Connecticut workshops! “Lightroom Basics”, Sat., Oct. 17th and “Working with Textures & Overlays – Turn Ho-Hum into a Work of Art”, Sat., Oct. 31st.
